Scott Ragle


Scott is an American stage and film actor.  Originally from Sonoma, CA, Scott grew up in the Bay Area and is a graduate of the Meisner program at the Waterfront Playhouse & Conservatory in Berkeley, CA.  Long a fixture in the Bay Area actor community, he helped launch the film industry networking group Coffee & Catchup and is one of the co-founders of Kaleidoscope – a collective dedicated to addressing the issue of diversity in casting.

With his passion for acting, he’s built up an impressive resume, and has worked with such directors as Emmy winner John Jacobsen, Marc Lafia and Trevor Tillman.

An avid reader, Scott shares his talents as a performer in BookPALS, a children’s literacy program. He is an instructor at Voice One, leading actors through the how-to’s of social media.

In his spare time, Scott engages his inner road-warrior and heads out to favorite places like Yosemite or Death Valley to work on his photography and writing.

Back in 1998, I saw a poster taped to a lamp poll for a play called Balm in Gilead.  I was intrigued by the black and white image:  a shadowy figure (maybe two) at the top of a staircase.  The play was being performed at the Magic Theatre, and I made plans to see it....
