2014 will go down as one of the best years I’ve ever had – in San Francisco – in terms of the frequency and income from acting work.  Rather than do a list of accomplishments, the best way I can sum it up is this way:

Hustle, hustle, hustle.

Plays.  Staged Readings.  Writing and Performing My Own Piece.  One Acts.  Huge Immersive Production.  Web Series.  Short Film.  Film Work.  It was really busy.  And of course, I’m getting this new year and month started off with one of the rock musicals that I’ve always wanted to do:  Hedwig and The Angry Inch.  Running in a two-week revival at Boxcar Theatre, this was the show that I was going to be a part of when it originally ran for 9 months and over 100 performances.  I’m THRILLED beyond anything to be the drummer in the band.  I’ve always wanted to do this show.  Come see it!

I did so much in 2014, and it’s the first time I’ve felt somewhat that I’ve been accomplishing my goals.  But it’s not over, of course. I think 2015 will be the biggest yet.  While I’m hanging on, ever so precipitously, in SF – I don’t think I’ll be staying here.  While that doesn’t mean that I’m leaving the Bay Area, necessarily – I could –  this year’s tagline is “It’s Now Or Never.”

If that keeps me here (say, in the East Bay), or if I pick up and head South or East; that remains to be seen.  But it’s clear that with the expiration of my lease coming up this summer, I’ve been in steady thinking mode about whether I’ll want to renew or say adios.

One of the new things I’m doing this year is more photography.  I know I’m good at it, and I’ve made some very awesome images over the years.

In fact, today, I’m going to start with this.
