Countdown

Olympians. Actorfest. Shakespeare & Co.  December will be an epic month. Besides wrapping up final rehearsals for Prometheus (and do see it, if you can!) – I’m set to spend a day in a police training program where I’ll play a criminal, and be mock-interrogated by real officers.  I’ve never done it before, but it should be a fun way to spend the day (and get paid for it!) Actorfest is now locked and loaded; my headshots are ready; my business cards are ready (thanks, Moo!) – and my weekend in LA is set; hopefully will be reconnecting with some friends,...

Agents

I sent a submission to a well-known Agency here in town.  I worked hard to put a nice presentation together; included a postcard from the show, had a great cover letter, resume, photos, etc.  Even a self-addressed stamped envelope just in case I was going to be sent a rejection. The envelope came back today, with the standard photo-copied rejection letter:   “Thank you for your recent submission to ________ Agency.  Unfortunately, we are not longer providing representation to children.  We wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors.” Really?  Did you really take a...
