Winding Down

The rigors of doing a show five times a week is exciting, and there is nothing I'd rather do more. But it is with heavy heart to begin winding down the run with five more performances before we float off into theatrical history. We had a double-header last weekend, and again we brought out something different and new each time. It's one of those things I can't explain, but only something I leave to the theater gods, if you will. We as an ensemble have excelled magnificently. My only hope is that the relationships that began here, in the Hypnodrome, continue far into the future.

Tonight we begin our wind-down to the finish. I have a good feeling about these final shows, looking forward to seeing who will be out in he audience, and hearing feedback. Inevitably, Sunday night will come,we'll take our final bow, and the lights will dim on this show forever. So many images pop into my mind as I write this, but the thing that I'll remember the most, (besides the nudity), is that of our deSade, facing the audience, with his arms outstretched.

I don't like the withdrawal process from any show; I hate saying goodbye to what's been created, but I'm going to give this one a big kiss and hold onto it for as long as I live.

Let's hit the stage, chums!
